The new maps seamlessly integrate into Dorico's score editor through custom Playing and Playback techniques. Single expressions are created from multiple Playback Techniques, forming a modular system designed for the production of visually appealing and well-sounding scores.

This allows you to write a melody, assign score markings, and switch all expressions from "Normal" to "Sordino" by simply adding a single Playback Technique to the score.

The Expression Maps can be loaded either individually or as a library that includes Playback and Playing Techniques, among other definitions. This allows you to quickly set up Templates while maintaining full control over each setting.

🅱️ Art Conductor Expression Maps have standardized naming conventions across all libraries.

For example, both "Long" and "Sustain" are labeled as "Long" because they refer to the same technique.

Compound Articulations like Legato Allego are called “Legato + Allegro”. This way, you can immediately see the individual score markings and components.
