Modular and Flexible
The new maps seamlessly integrate into Dorico's score editor through custom Playing and Playback techniques. Single expressions are created from multiple Playback Techniques, forming a modular system designed for the production of visually appealing and well-sounding scores.
You write the melody, assign score markings, and switch all expressions from "Normal" to "Sordino" by simply adding a single Playback Technique to the score.
The Expression Maps can be loaded either individually or as a library that includes Playback and Playing Techniques, among other definitions. This allows you to quickly set up Instrument Templates while maintaining full control over each setting.

In Dorico, long notes are played in Legato, while shorter notes are marked with Staccato. If you want to override Dorico's suggestions, you can easily do so using Playback Techniques that we have specially designed for this purpose.
